This policy explains what Circuit 909 Presents LLC ("Circuit 909", "we", "us") collects about you, how we use it, and who we share it with. It covers circuit909.com, our fan sign-up and ticket pages, the emails and texts we send, our social accounts, and our events. By using any of these or attending our events, you agree to this policy.
In short:
- We collect what you give us (name, email, phone, Instagram handle, ticket orders), what our ticketing and marketing partners pass to us, and information about how you use our pages.
- We use it to run our events, market future shows, and grow our business.
- We share it with our partners, including co-presenters, venues, artists, advertisers and sponsors, and some of them may pay us for it.
- We film and photograph our events, and the crowd is part of the footage.
- You can unsubscribe from emails, text STOP to end texts, and use the rights your state's law gives you by emailing dance@circuit909.com.
1. Who we are
Circuit 909 Presents LLC is an Ohio limited liability company that produces and promotes live music events. For anything in this policy, email dance@circuit909.com.
Some of our events are co-presented with other promoters, venues or brands, and some tickets are sold by a ticketing company rather than by us. When that happens, the company that sells you the ticket also collects your information under its own privacy policy, and this policy covers what we receive from it.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details: name, email address, phone number, Instagram and other social handles, birthday or age, and city or zip code, when you sign up for drops or alerts, RSVP, buy a ticket, join a guest list, request a table, enter a giveaway, or message us.
- Ticket and RSVP details: the event, ticket type, price paid, order date, promo or ambassador code used, and when your ticket was scanned at the door.
- Table and VIP bookings: name, phone, party size, the table or package, and what you spent.
- Messages and posts: anything you send us by email, text, Instagram DM or comment, and anything you post publicly that tags or mentions us.
- Media release: if you are a photographer, videographer or other media working one of our events, your name and email so we can send you our media release.
- People who work with us: if you DJ, perform, promote or work an event for us, what we need to book, pay and paper you, including tax forms. Tax forms are kept encrypted.
We never see or store your full card number. Payments are handled by the ticketing company or payment processor at checkout.
Information from partners
- Ticketing companies (for example Speakeasy or Posh) pass us the ticket and RSVP details above for our events.
- Co-presenters send us the names, contact details and orders of buyers for events we present together, as our agreements with them allow.
- Laylo, the service behind our drop and alert sign-ups, passes us your sign-up details and which drops you signed up for, including sign-ups that start from an Instagram comment or DM.
- Social platforms and advertisers give us the public profile details of accounts that message, tag or comment on us, and reports about who sees and responds to our posts and ads.
- Venues, sponsors and other partners may share information they hold about you when you engage with them at or around our events.
We may combine all of this into a single record about you.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics. circuit909.com uses Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views, referring sites, country and device type without cookies.
- Where you're browsing from. When a page opens, our site checks which state or country your internet connection appears to be in. We use it only to decide whether the tools below start on their own or wait for your choice, and we don't save it.
- The Meta pixel. Our site uses Meta's pixel. It sets Meta's cookies (such as
_fbp, and_fbcafter you click one of our ads), reports the pages you view, and reports when you click a ticket or RSVP link, with the show's name and date. We use it to measure and target our ads. We don't pass your name, email or phone number to it. Meta may connect this with your Meta account. - The text-alert sign-up box is run by Laylo. Once it loads, it loads tools from other companies: the Meta pixel, the TikTok pixel, the Google tag and Google Analytics (advertising and measurement), PostHog (Laylo's own analytics), Google reCAPTCHA and Cloudflare Turnstile (spam checks), and other services Laylo uses to run the form. Laylo's own sign-up and drop pages load the same kinds of tools when they open. When you sign up, Laylo also reports it to Meta through Meta's Conversions API. Meta, TikTok and Google may connect this with your accounts with them.
- Ticketing pages. Speakeasy, which sells most of our tickets, uses our Meta pixel on its event and checkout pages to report page views and ticket purchases to Meta, and may send Meta scrambled contact details from your order so Meta can match it to your account. Other companies that sell tickets to our events may do the same.
- Fonts and photos. Fonts load from Google Fonts, and our gallery photos and video thumbnails are served from Google's servers (including YouTube's), so your browser sends its IP address to Google.
- Links in our ads and messages may carry a tag that tells us which ad or post you came from. Our emails may tell us when you open them or click a link.
When the Meta pixel and the sign-up box load on our site
- Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out: neither loads on our site, wherever you are, and we point you to Laylo's own page if you want to sign up.
- Your saved choice. If you've made a choice in our cookie banner, we follow it, and a Decline always wins. We save it in your browser for one year, as a cookie and in local storage, both named
c909_consent. - Most U.S. states, including Ohio. Both load with the page.
- California and the other states whose laws require everyone's consent to this kind of tracking, outside the U.S., or if we can't tell where you are. Nothing loads until you choose Accept in our cookie banner. Accept and Decline are offered side by side.
- Cookie settings, in our site's footer, lets you change your choice at any time.
At our events
- Photos, video and audio. We, our media team, and partners we authorize record our events, including the crowd. If you attend, you will likely appear in that footage. Our Terms (circuit909.com/terms) explain the permission you give us to record you and use those recordings.
- Door checks. We or the venue check your ticket and photo ID. We or the venue may scan or record your ID to verify your age and for safety.
3. How we use it
We may use your information for any of our business purposes, including to:
- run events: issue and check tickets, manage guest lists and tables, and send you event details;
- market: send you emails about our events, offers and partners (you can unsubscribe at any time), send texts if you signed up for them, and show ads to you and to people like you on social platforms;
- work with sponsors and partners: create sponsor offers, share audience information with sponsors and partners (section 4), and measure sponsorship results;
- measure and grow: count sales by ad, link and promo code, pay ambassadors and DJs their commission, and understand our audience;
- keep events safe: enforce our Terms, keep a list of people refused entry or removed, and work with venues, security, other event organizers and law enforcement;
- run the business: accounting, taxes, settling with co-presenters and venues, and meeting legal obligations;
- create aggregated or de-identified data, which we may use and share for any purpose.
We use software tools, including AI tools, to organize our information and run our business.
4. Who we share it with
We may share or sell your information to:
- Sponsors and brand partners, including companies that pay us for access to our audience or for marketing about their products. They use it under their own privacy policies.
- Co-presenters, venues and artists of the events you attend or show interest in, for running, settling and marketing those events and their own future events.
- Advertising platforms. We use Meta's tools (the pixel, the Conversions API, and lists of contact details that are scrambled before upload) to show our ads to you and to people like you, and to measure them.
- Service providers that work for us: ticketing and RSVP platforms, Laylo, our website host (Vercel), email and file storage (Google Workspace), e-signature (DocuSign), automation and AI tools, payment processors, and our accountants and lawyers.
- Ambassadors and promoters, who may see orders placed with their code or link.
- Other event organizers and venues, about people refused entry or removed from an event for safety or conduct reasons.
- Legal and safety recipients: when we believe the law requires it, to respond to legal process, or to protect anyone's safety or our rights.
- A buyer or successor if Circuit 909, or part of it, is merged, sold or restructured.
Some state laws call some of this sharing a "sale" or "sharing" for targeted advertising. See section 7 for what you can do about it.
The one exception is text messages. Phone numbers and consent collected for our text-message program are never sold or shared with third parties for their marketing (section 6).
5. Photos and video of our events
Footage from our events, including the crowd, appears on our website, social accounts, after-movies, live-set videos, ads and sponsor content, and we may share or license it to co-presenters, artists, venues, sponsors and other partners. Our Terms set out the permission you give us by attending. We decide what we publish and how long it stays up.
6. Text messages
If you sign up for Circuit 909 texts (through Laylo, a ticket checkout, or by texting a keyword), you agree to receive recurring automated marketing texts about our events and offers at the number you gave us.
- Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to any message to stop, and HELP for help.
- Consent to texts is not a condition of buying a ticket or entering an event.
- No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers and consent collected for our text program are never sold or shared, except with the service providers that send our texts.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Separate from marketing, if you buy a table, work an event, or perform for us, we may text you about that booking.
7. Your choices
- Email: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. We may still send you messages about tickets you bought.
- Texts: reply STOP.
- Cookies and ads: use Cookie settings in the footer of our site, or turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser, and the Meta pixel and the sign-up box won't load on our site. You can also limit ad tracking in your Meta ad settings, your phone's settings, or by blocking third-party cookies in your browser.
- Your state's rights: if the law where you live gives you the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your information, or to opt out of its sale, sharing or use for targeted ads, email dance@circuit909.com with your request. We'll verify who you are and respond as that law requires. We may keep information the law allows us to keep, such as records of sales, safety incidents, and opt-outs.
8. How long we keep it
We keep information as long as it is useful for our business or the law requires. Event photos and video become part of our archive and may be kept and used indefinitely.
9. Security
We use reasonable safeguards: access limited to our team, encrypted storage for tax forms, and payment handled entirely by our processors. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee that information will never be accessed without permission.
10. Age
Our events are for adults, usually 21 and over (each event lists its age limit), and our website and sign-ups are not meant for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we'll delete it if we learn we have.
11. Other sites
Our pages link to ticketing sites, Laylo, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. Those sites are run by other companies under their own policies. When we sell merch, the store that sells it handles your order under its own policies.
12. Changes
We may change this policy at any time by posting a new version here with a new date. The new version applies from the moment it is posted.
